Pupil Premium




Pupil Premium is a sum of money allocated to schools for pupils that are known to have been eligible for free school meals (FMS) at any time in the last six years.

The purpose of Pupil Premium is to address inequalities by closing the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers.


The sum of money we received for Pupil Premium in 2014-2015 was £95,272.00

At English Martyrs’ School, Pupil Premium will be used to provide:


  • Interventions using targeted Teaching Assistant Support;

  • Targeted reading and phonics development and purchase of resources;

  • Curriculum enrichment opportunities;

  • Extra curricular activities;

  • Subsidised music provision;

  • Pastoral Support for families;

  • Breakfast facilities
